Data quality "an essential component of information"

Data quality is "an essential component of information", one industry analyst has avowed.
In an article for online resource IT Director, Dr Dave Waddington stated that there are also a number of other very important elements of information, including data governance.
Additionally, Dr Waddington said that master data management is a component of information that has received growing attention in the recent past.
The sector commentator continued by noting that the provision of master data management has become an increasingly prominent part of system integrators' portfolios, due to the rising interest in the data element.
However, he concluded: "There is little concrete information available regarding the use of systems integrators by end-user organisations for implementing master data management programs in business."
Earlier this month, Suhale Kapoor told online resource Financial Express that the internet is a vial tool when it comes to making certain that data is of high quality.
