Expert reveals data quality goals
Jan 18 2010, 12:08 PM
Dylan Jones, founder of online resource Data Quality Pro, has revealed his goals for the coming year.
One of his aims for 2010, he noted, is to discover how businesses are "successfully demonstrating the value of data quality".
"What is working right now given the economic situation? What triggers can be used for specific types of sponsor?" Mr Jones commented.
Learning how to sustain improvements and sustaining data quality longevity is also important.
"If we can create more stability in our careers then that is also a great goal to aim for," he added.
Mr Jones' other goals include ensuring greater "connectivity and accessibility" between data quality professionals.
Writing for itoimedia.com recently, Josh Gordon noted that businesses can use data quality to improve their marketing strategies.
He suggested that the more information a company has to work with, the more successful its campaigns are likely to be.
