New advertising strategy helps Bord Gais 'to win customers'
- Jan 20 2010, 11:50 AM
A new Google Adwords campaign has helped energy provider Bord Gais to win new customers, it has been reported.
According to the Sunday Business Post, the initiative helped the company to attract 138,000 new households over a seven-month period.
Eoin O'Suilleabhain, E-Channel Developer for Bord Gais, said the opening weeks of the campaign were "nothing short of phenomenal".
"One of the major lessons we learned is that an effective online channel can continue to drive conversions well past working hours when combined with effective TV placement," he commented.
Mr O'Suilleabhain added that it ranks as one of the most successful online marketing campaigns in Ireland to date.
In related news, the same publication has reported that use of social media marketing is likely to increase in Ireland over the coming year.
Businesses will also begin to place more focus on customer relationship management strategies, the Sunday Business Post added.
