Recruitment figures show demand for data management

Recent recruitment figures published by Robert Half Professional Hiring Index have found that the demand for database management is higher than ever, as big data becomes a bigger focus for companies.
According to the figures, database management was the most common skill searched for by employers with nearly half (46 per cent) of the 100 Chief Information Officers surveyed saying that this was what they were looking for in the job market. Network administration, desktop support and reporting services followed closely behind.
Neil Hedges, senior manager at Robert Half Technology UK, said: "Big data is becoming a significant issue for organisations. Many are struggling to manage the vast amount of information passing through the business, and lack the tools required to analyse it in a reasonable timeframe, using conventional techniques.”
Companies are increasingly looking towards data quality systems to aid this swarm of otherwise useless data.
Interpreting data and storing it adequately and correctly can lead to both savings from costs and revenue from business intelligence. Running analytics software can accelerate information delivery to users in real-time, and efficiently manages big data problems.
