Mailing Preference Service
Definition :
Mailing Preference Service (MPS) is a suppression file, available in the UK, set up by the direct mail industry to enable consumers to have their names and home addresses in the UK removed from lists used by the industry.
The use of MPS is a requirement of the Advertising Standards Authority. It is also a condition under the Code of Practice of the Direct Marketing Association.
Customers looking to protect brand reputation and avoid the legal implications of contacting "opt-outs" should consider using this suppression set. There are 3.8 million subscribers to the MPS.
